Have one of those vanity lights that consists of 4 separate bulbs. Looking at this socket:
The socket is the white circle and the larger circle is the decorative "hide".
There is a screw at the "bottom" of the socket. Is that what holds the socket in place?
The socket next to this one pictured just turns when i try to remove the bulb...and with the decorative piece I cant get a hold of the socket to try to hold it still.
Are these sockets replaceable without having to remove the entire fixture?
Suggestions on how to get the bulb out?

does the decorative sleeve pull off or is it connected to the socket? i have something similiar and i've pulled mine off to paint the decorative pieces of the fixture and the socket stays in place.
also, does the white part turn with the bulb or is the bulb turning only with the silver metal interior and the white part staying in place?

Assuming the decorative collar doesn't pull off as suggested by Carri, you might have to take the light bar off in order to get at the back side. The screw in the bottom of the socket usually secures the socket to a small metal bracket that holds it in place. With the power off, you can try tightening the screw to see if that helps.
Otherwise, take the fixture down and see what's on the backside.

Screw probably not the problem. Remove the fixture from the wall and look for a nut on the back of the socket.

the decorative collar does not seem to come off. It turns but doesnt pull.
The entire socket turns when i try to remove the bulb.
Guess i'll have to remove the whole fixture...should just be couple screws securing it to an internal bracket?

last resort? i've read methods for removing broken bulbs, which might work if you are careful and can find a safe, clean way to break the bulb (like tape it all over and put it inside a plastic bag or something). i'd probably remove the fixture before trying that though.

Turns out i just have a screw loose...oh, wait...make that a nut loose...
Tightened this up and all is good again.
