The little valve (not a saddle/needle valve) which supplies our furnace humidifier via a copper line squeals whenever the humidifier calls for water. I first though it was the solenoid and replaced that with no improvement except to the weight of my wallet. I've tried adjusting the valve from extremely low volume to wide open with no change in the squealing. Any ideas?

Find a supplier that has a replacement, there is little that can be done to a faulty one.
