Fraser Johnson PAKU furnace not starting
      #871437 - 03/15/10 08:34 AM

Fraser Johnston PAKU-LD12N080A - The furnace will not start. The purge will start. I thought it might be the igniter but there is no voltage to it. Maybe I am measuring it wrong or maybe something else needs to happen first like the pressure switch closing? What can I check?

My mistake. My meter is not working. There is voltage to the igniter. I will still double check the pressure switch but it is probably the igniter.

I awoke this morning to find out my furnace is not on. While trying to trouble shoot it I got a call from my one tenant and her furnace is off (pilot went out). If I go over to check on my parents house, chances are that furnace will be off (it has a history). I have three meters. One probe for the good one is broken. The back up is now not working. So I have a 25 yr old radio shack analog.

It was the igniter. The replacement was complicated a little as they changed the style of the igniter and it was hard to reach in the burner compartment. Anyway I got it working.
