Or maybe the sad thing about it is that it is politically "correct". I have some trouble with "offending" people that would kill a female member of their own family because she falls in love with an "infidel", or maybe has a liaison with one.

You bet! How can religious beliefs condone female castration? Stoning of adulterers? Marriage outside of the family beliefs? That's why the "information age" is moving places like Iran onto their knees. The Saudis? It's the cash we've been sending them for oil for decades, that allows them to religiously dictate to the civilians. Kuwait, the same.
Back-asswards religions should soon get the hint... Including the "conservative, moral majority", here in the US.

No, I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people.. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.
