Plant Identification
      #838709 - 09/03/09 06:12 AM

Kim Komando posted this yesterday. Could be of interest to 'plant people'.

"I come across many cool plants on my hikes. I'm not a botanist, though. So, I am unable to identify some of the plants.

That's why I like My Plant ID. This site lets you upload photos and descriptions of plants. You then plot the location of the plant on a map.

Other visitors to the site can give their two cents' worth. Chances are, they'll be able to identify the plant.

This site is fun for curious hikers like me. Botanists and other plant lovers will also like it. Additionally, it is handy for landscape planning."

Huh... Of greater interest (to me) was this portion of her web site. "Digital Goddess" is an understatement!
