Frost advisory in the county to the East of me. Low 38 in Hart, 43 in Muskegon, I am inbetween the two towns. This "summer" sure has been a challenge
Come on, Mother Nature, I've given up on canteloupe but please can I have a ripe tomato???

Yeah, we reportedly had frost in our area as well last night. I am thinking it was in areas that did not get the lake Superior effect rain we got. It got down to about 36 by us - the moisture saved us I think. Kind of a tough year for gardening!

Ooooh, Al, if I could type the cuss words here that are running through my head right now..... Naughty, naughty, naughty Al! You're making me crazy, young man!
I DO have to say that I had the juiciest, sweetest ear of sweetcorn tonight for supper that I've had this year. Going back to the "guy in the truck in front of Carrs Automotive" tomorrow for more!

Frost!!! Ohhh, dang Liz... TB and me were talking yesterday about putting a cloche over what's left of our garden. (maters and peppers) There are sooo many green tomatoes, I'd hate to lose them in a frost.
Whatta lousy growing season...
Hey Al, stuff yer snow... for now. Give us a few more weeks, huh?

Crrrrrrrrap! After Muskegon broke the record low set in 1915 this morning (41), NOW frost advisories are in the county East of me AND North of me, and I'm on the North County line! Come on, it's still August for a couple more hours! August is supposed to be summer. Furnace kicked on last night.
Praying to the WeatherGods to please give me a ripe tomato???
Al, you're dealing with a couple of women with the snowthing, you're outnumbered big time

In my youth I was the only male in the house, with three older sisters... And I've dealt with quite a few of you guys since in my lifetime. Nothing more 'n just one more "challenge"...

Trumping you, I have FOUR sisters At one time, there were 5 teenaged girls in my household, my poor, poor Dad.....
This morning's low in Hart (half hour North of me) was 36 degrees. That's WINTER temps, folks!! But the impatients and morning glories tell me it didn't get to 32 here. Dodged a bullet, thank you Lake Michigan!
Time for Indian Summer now, right??? Tomatoes please?????
