Same here... Tell me... What would you REALLY use it for? There are those that "spin" bowls, but thats it.. OK! A gavel....

True what Dennis said. They are a lot of fun and they'll do what no other machine will do but mine gathers dust most of the time.

Have to be honest.. I would love to make the trip to Mizzou to visit Donkey but I have this thing for Newel posts... I know, strange right... can't help it. I would love to make posts. In fact I have a design for my new workbench in the shop that is made out of old newel posts.
What can I say, not the worst fetish out there.

Hey Den, lathes make a lot of nice shavings not like the sawdust we make with our other machine tools. I still look back with much pride at my first bag of sawdust, that was a long time ago.
