Re: Wire Size ???

It is dependent on the size of the device connected.

Water well - no common size. Depends on HP of pump and distance from panel.
stove - most common is 8/3 40 amp breaker or 6/3 60 amp breaker.
Hot water - most common is 10/2 30 amp but check heater requirements to be sure
Dryer always 10/3 and 30 amp breaker.

Re: Wire Size ???

When you say 10/3 wire for the dryer, do you mean 3 wires plus a ground or 2 wires plus a ground?

Re: Wire Size ???

Means three 10ga wires. One red, one black, one white. The ground wire isn't counted in the "3".
