Wiring a 3-way switch?

    The fuse or breaker is sized to protect the wiring in your circuit from exceeding its current limitation (and prevent a fire). It is not there to protect your appliances.
    Don't increase the size of the breaker or fuse beyond what the wiring can handle.

    Q: My outlet suddenly stopped working, where do I start?

    A: Start by checking all the GFI outlets in the house. Press "Trip" and "Reset" on each one. Outlets requiring GFI protection are often wired through a GFI outlet in another part of the house, so check them all. You can find them in the:

    • Garage
    • Basement
    • Outside
    • Bathrooms
    • Kitchen
